Lets get real here, this isn’t really surprising news. Amusing yes, but not surprising. I mean, she is the daughter of Bob Marley, quite possibly the most irie guy of all time.

Yesterday, Bob Marley’s daughter, Makeda Jahnesta Marley, pleaded guilty to growing 12 cannabis plants in her home in West Philadelphia, where she may have been born and raised, I don’t know. Marley was arrested in 2008 after police say they found her removing plants from the basement when officers arrived on a domestic dispute call.
Yesterday, she told the court that she had blown her ENTIRE trust fund inheritance that was left for her after her father passed away. Wow… that’s a lot of money to go through, missy!
But what really irritated me about this article from news24 was its title. “Reggae heiress caught for cannabis farm”. You’ve got to be fucking kidding me… You can hardly call 12 plants a farm. Aahhh, don’t we all love News24′s reports concerning cannabis.
Damn hypocrites……12 plants is hardly enough to get her dad through a month……back in the day. My only question is why the fuck doesn’t she go stay in Kingston, Jamaica……FREE LOCAL WEED…..and it’s legal. That just doesn’t make sense……she could still have a little apartment in the US, damn…..and she spent all the money he left her……..what a waste….

It seems like governments are literally grasping at straws. I would love to see how much funding was put in to the entire operation. I reckon the cost of all that surveillance + man power + legal fees = more than the street value of 12 plants.
